About Us

Hosted by the University of Calabria and the University of British Columbia, this project bridges materials science and electrochemistry to develop a fully integrated carbon capture and utilization (CCU) system. Using advanced bipolar membranes and bio-inspired 3D electrodes, we capture CO2 from air or flue gas and convert it into high-value chemicals within a single, energy-efficient process.

The project BattleCap-CO₂ has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 101153662.
